Story of Addiction (Episode 142)
I just looked at Bidemi with disgust. She seems serious about what she meant. Only if she could see through my heart; she would know that Ruka is not a competition to her.
Bidemi didn't move an inch, even as kikelomo tried packing all her things and putting back on her shoes. We all kept quiet.
Bidemi can be stubborn in a situation like this and I know that she won't move an inch as she has rightly said. I looked at Ruka; who now looks relax than ever. She doesn't look like someone intimidated: she seems determined not to bow out to Bidemi's threat. Who would blame her after what Bidemi did to her the other day.

I should have remained in the hospital. I don't think my heart can take another Bidemi and Ruka saga. My mind kept praying and hoping that Bidemi would let Ruka be today; if not, I think Doctor Ayeni would soon put me on admission because of heart failure. I looked into Ruka's eyes and I could see the fear in her eyes. She managed to greet.
Ruka: (forcing a smile) hello guys!
All of us: welcome.
Story of Addiction (Episode 140)
I was very happy to get off the phone with Shade. She sounds a changed person. Changed or not, I still want to get closer to her.
She was one of my crush when we were still in school then. All my mind was drifted to Shade when my sister brought in my dinner. It's semolina and ewedu.
Me: (smiling) my wife... I know that you would be very happy to see me back.
Funmilayo: (smiling) yes oooo... I missed you
Me: me too... Especially your pecks..
She moved over and stylishly gave me a peck. She sat down with me while I eats my food. She told me what Ruka told her about me. I just kept quiet and pretended not being happy.
Story of Addiction (Episode 139)
I was excited and shouted in joy as the Doctor left the room.
Chidinma kept looking at me. I connected a call to my mum to inform her about the development. She seems very happy. I told her not to keep me waiting because I'm dying to leave this place.
My mum came earlier than I anticipated. Chidinma helped her to pack our things while she went to the Doctor Ayeni's office. We left the hospital after she concluded whatever they talked about (who cares). My mum carefully drove us home.
Story of Addiction (Episode 138)
Me: (smiling) very happy... the doctor said that I would be discharged today. And he said that I should not stress myself with anything. He specifically said that "Femi, don't read for the next 3months. Why won't I be happy?
Mummy: (laughing) don't mind him Chidinma... I was here when the doctor came, and he didn't say anything of such.
Chidinma: (smiling) don't bother yourself mummy... I know that he's joking.
We laughed for awhile. It's now 9am. Mummy took an excuse to go to her office but promised to be back before 2pm. She left and I'm now left with Chidinma.
Immediately my mum left, I kept staring at her. I made it so conspicuous that she was shy about my bad attitude.
Story of Addiction (Episode 137)
The money that Adedoyin promised she would send into my account: made me think over the whole incident. Tunde has already done his worse. He knew that I won't be able to tell anyone about what happened. He took advantage of the fear I have for my parents to deal with me.
Tunde is my friend but I think he has gone too far with what he did to me. I need to let Badoo knows about it. He can still fight for me with the help of his friends. But come to think of it: Badoo's friends are not touts: their only interest is to dress fine and run after anything in skirt. I thought about Emeka too.
He's just a lousy boy. He can only talk himself into trouble and then into another trouble again.
I kept thinking on how to deal with Tunde and I concluded that I don't have any resources to fight him. The only way I can get back at him; is to sleep with Ronke on a couple of occasion: but that would be more than suicidal for me. I was still thinking about my problem when I heard the voice of my mum.

Me: (staring at Ruka) hello
Sarah: hello Femi... what happened? Adedoyin and I have been trying to reach you. I even sent you a text message.
Hope all is well?
Me: (smiling) yes... I got into a fight with some guys... I'm presently admitted in the hospital.
Sarah: Jesus... what happened? I hope you were not seriously wounded?
Me: not really... I might be discharged in 2/3 days time. Have you guys left now?
Sarah: (voice sad) no.. but we are about going to the airport now. The flight still leaves 10pm. Maybe we should come and say hello before we rush to the airport.
Story of Addiction (Episode 135)
It's only Ruka's message that was different from the others.
She wants to know if I'm okay. She seems worried. I read the other messages. It all boils down to "why are you not picking your calls?". I put my phone on silent.
I looked at the Adeboye's and I called them "twins". We all laughed.
Mummy: (smiling) they both look alike and very beautiful.
Me: (smiling) if I'm a little richer and comfortable like Daddy... I will marry the two of them.
Bidemi: (smiling) you want to marry two sisters. Even your dad doesn't have two wives.
Kikelomo: (smiling) don't mind him... he's just joking. His heart is not strong enough to marry two wives.
Story of Addiction (Episode 134)
I just kept muted as I watched tears rolled down her eyes. She thanked Chidinma for standing up for her to go home to get few things done. She brought out a food flask. I'm very happy because I'm really starving. She opened it and my elated spirit came down. She brought pap and moimoi.
Me: (voice sad) ooh... I don't have malaria mummy.. you know that I don't like taking pap

I was very weak to answer any of their questions as we drove into our family hospital; which is not too far from our house.
My dad connected a call to our family doctor (Doctor Ayeni) and he said that he's still in the hospital. The doctor gave me some injection and I slept off.
I could still feel some of the pains all over my body. The night was a very long night. I woke up around 10am the next day. I'm still in the hospital. So all the things that happened to me were actually true. I thought as I looked at Chidinma who was in my room. She smiled.
